The filter has a multi-stage construction. The prefilter is responsible for the coarse particles and the main filter for viruses, bacteria, allergens, particular matter and pollutants. The filter can optionally be equipped with activated carbon to filter out odors and noxious gases such as formaldehyde.

All filters are available as HEPA filters according to ISO 29463 (formerly EN 1822).
